If you are selling your rooms via a channel manager you may need to sell them with different rate plans. E.g. Room Only, Bed and Breakfast. You can do this using the Discount function in Abode.
- Select Settings > Accommodation > Discount Options.
- Name your Item and Description (these can be the same).
- Select the Type of rate plan this would be. This is similar to 'derived' that you see in other channel managers/channels.
Price List - Use this option if the rates for this rate plan will be managed separately from your standard rates. (See N.B. at the end of the article to set these up).
Rate Amount - Use this option if the rate will always be a set amount increase/decrease on your standard rates. (I.e. Breakfast is always $20 more.)
Rate Percentage - Use this option if the rate will always be a percentage increase/decrease on your standard rates. (I.e. Non-refundable is always 10% less) - Enter the value amount and select Add +. Note: To set an amount/percentage INCREASE add a minus amount (-) before the figure (see example).
Select Inventory > Rates & Restrictions to check that the rate of your new rate plan is correct and add/edit any restrictions if necessary.
Select Settings > Accommodation > Accommodation Options to connect your new rate plans to your channel manager. (Note that if using SiteMinder follow the instructions in this article for mapping
Select Settings > (SiteMinder/Staah/Channex) to send a Full sync. Proceed to your channel manager for mapping to your channels.
Price List Rate Plan
- Select Price List as the type and set the Amount as 0. Select Add +.
- Select Settings > Accommodation > Rate Setup. Select the Type the rate plan connects to, select the Discount and enter the default Unit Cost. Select Add +.
- Map to channel manager and channels as above. This rate plan can have rates manually managed in Inventory > Rates & Restrictions (rather than derived).
